J. Pavlovsky, Sr., Pioneer Citizen Buried on Friday John Pavlovsky, Sr., 93 years and five months of age, the oldest citizen of Adairsville died at the home of his son, James, with whom he lived, on Thursday morning, February 27th. He was born near Warsaw Poland, fought in the Franco Prussian war [19 July 1870 – 10 May 1871], after which, he with his wife, three brothers, August, Joseph and Frank, one sister Mary, came to America. They lived in Cartersville a year and all of them moved to Adairsville, which has been seventy years ago. John Pavlovsky was a contractor and a fine cabinet workman. Surviving him are three sons, Walter and John, Jr., of Marietta, and James of Adairsville. Four daughters, Mrs. Frances Mashburn, of Atlanta, Mrs. T. F. Byars, of Ellenwood, Mrs. Sophia Edwards of Nashville, Tenn. Mrs. W. C. Bogle of Adairsville, twenty one grand children and twenty two great grandchildren. Funeral was at the home Friday afternoon. Rev. Father J. G. Cassidy, of Rome officiating. Interment was in Oothcalooga cemetery. W. P. Whitworth, funeral director, in charge. Pallbearers were grandsons: Ralph, Jake, Mack, and Ray Pavlovsky, Clyde Mashburn and Thurman Byars. Twenty-one grand children
