Whereas, by the inscrutable will of Providence, death has been in our midst and removed from our Lodge one of its brightest ornaments and fairest jewels, thereby depriving us of the society and bright example of our loved sister, ROSA MYERS, therefore be it

RESOLVED, 1st.  That by her death our Order has great cause of grief.  That we sincerely mourn our irreparable loss, and can receive comfort only in the knowledge that her piety and perfection in Faith, Hope and Charity entitled her to advance to the highest grades of our Order, and that Jesus, our “Worthy Chief Templar,” has taken her to himself.

2d. That we recognize in her death a great loss to our community, and feel that there is an aching void produced which the world can never fill.  We know that we shall never see the bright face of our little Rosa again, radiant as it always was with bright smiles; but we take comfort in knowing that she is with Jesus enjoying celestial bliss.

3d.  That we tender our sympathy and condolence to the bereaved parents, brother and little sister, and point them for consolation to the “Cross,” that contains the balm that can heal their broken hearts.

4th. That one page of our journal be left blank as a mark of respect to the memory of our deceased sister,

5th. That the STANDARD AND EXPRESS be furnished with a copy of these resolutions, and be requested to publish them.  Also, that the bereaved family be furnished with a copy.

Unanimously adopted by the Cassville Lodge I. O. G. T., No. 217, June 15, 1874
