Death of Georgians in California. From the list of deaths in California, we notice the following from our State. Nathan Ward of Habersham, died July 23rd, at Iowa Canyon, near Georgeton, El Dorado county. At the same place on August 1st, died Gerre Ward, of Lumpkin, aged about 23 years. On board the bark Emily, (in distress near San Blass,) bound from Panama to San Francisco, we notice the following: Died March 16th, Clifford Stone, of Spring Place Ga., of fever, aged 26 years. Died March 17th, Dr. J. H. Galt, of Spring Place, Ga., aged 27 years. Died March 26th, D. B. Reed, of Murray county, aged 23. Died April 12th, GEORGE MYERS, of CASS county, of fever and dysentery, aged 35. Died April 20th, A. F. Stone, Murray county, of fever and dysentery, aged 35. Died April 23d, J. Norton, Washington county, of fever and dysentery, aged 26. |
