Marvin Eugene Mundy, 85, of 23 Railroad St., White, died Wednesday afternoon, March 17, 1999. Mr. Mundy was born May 4, 1913, in Bartow County, son of the late William Alonzo Mundy and Lillie Mae Yancey Mundy, was retired from the Paga Mining Co. and was a member of the Park Street Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Frankie Marie Griffith Mundy of White; brother, Terry Mundy of Cartersville; sisters, Genola Grooms, Anne Summey, Mable Gossett and Betty Woodward, all of Cartersville; special family member, the Rev. Donald Thomas of Cartersville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Park Street Baptist Church in Acworth with the Rev. Donald Thomas and the Rev. David Summey officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Tim Cochran, Patrick Holcomb, Kenneth Pope, David Latham, Daniel Latham and Jerry Eperson. Honorary pallbearers include Jimmy Bennett and David Bennett.
