Emil L. Moor Passes, Funeral at Pine Log Mr. Emil Moor, age 87, passed away Friday morning in a Gordon County nursing home. He was a native of Forsyth County but had lived in the Pine Log section most of his life. His wife, the late Nanne Floyd, preceded him in death in 1930 and also a daughter, Jeanette Moor in 1924. The deceased is survived by two sons: Basil and Edwin Moor, Calhoun, a daughter, Mrs. J.R. Jones, Dunlap, Tennessee; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, three brothers; Joe and Howard Moor, Rockmart; Jim Moor, Detroit; four sisters; Mrs. Allie Murphy, Bolton; Mrs. Fannie Dooley, Lakeland, Florida, Mrs. Mittie Hinmon, Rockmart; Mrs. Annie Terril, Cartersville. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Pine Log Methodist church with Rev. Ralph Brown officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Hamby Moor, Harold Moor, Hurley Lynn, Duff Floyd, Frank Floyd and Bill Lynn. Interment was in the Pine Log Cemetery. |
