Death of Mrs. Milam

Mrs. Mattie Milam, the wife of Mr. James Milam, died in this city on Tuesday last at 4:30 a. m., of paralysis, from which she had been a sufferer for the last four months. The deceased was about forty-five years of age. She was Miss Mattie Buford of this county. She is a sister of Dr. O. H. and Rev. A. J. Buford, and Mrs. Dr. J. G. Greene. She was married to Mr. Milam in 1886. She was from youth up a member of the Baptist church and was a conscientious, consistent Christian. She possessed the friendship of a very wide circle of friends to whom her death is a very sad shock. Her funeral took place from the Baptist church on yesterday, Rev. C. E. W. Dobbs, the pastor, conducting the services.
