Mother of Mrs. Sam Jones, Dies at Her Home in Kentucky.

At her home near Eminence, Ky., at 8 o’clock last Sunday morning, Mrs. C. A. McElwain passed away. She was the mother of Mrs. Sam P. Jones, of this city, and has spent considerable of her time within the last few years at her daughter’s home. She was a lady noted for her exemplary life.

Mrs. Jones, accompanied by her children, left for Eminence on Sunday morning and was present at her mother’s funeral. She has not yet returned home.

Many friends of Mrs. McElwain in this city, regret to hear of her death. She was in her 83d year.
