Mrs. Martha McCoy was brought up Friday morning, a corpse from Atlanta, whither she had gone to visit her daughter, who died the 27th ult., at 6 o’clock, and was buried at New Hope, Revs. Dyer and Dabb officiating. She was born at Lunsford, near Elberton, 82 years ago.  She was the widow of Jackson McCoy, to whom she had borne eleven children, five of whom are living, Mrs. Mary Denton, Rev. A. J. Taylor, Ben F., Elzey, B. and Rev. Marshal A. McCoy.  She had reared this excellent family and resided here half a century.  Truly a mother in Israel, and universally revered and respected.
