Death of Mr. Louis Mayer.

This gentleman, the head of the house of L. Mayer & Co., of this place, died in New York last Thursday morning.  His remains were brought to Atlanta Sunday morning, arriving there on the Air Line road at 8:15.  The funeral procession was formed at the car shed which bore them to the grave.  Mr. Mayer had lost an only beloved sister a few months ago.  His death now leaves his father without family, alone in the world.  He has our sympathy in his bereavement, and we hope the God of Israel will comfort him with His holy spirit in the hour of his lone distress.
