Death of Prof. Marshall.

Prof. Mathew Marshall died at the residence of Mr. J. D. Wilkerson, in this city, yesterday morning, and today will be laid to rest in our cemetery. The deceased was well known in this community, having taught school in this city and at Pine Log and Cass Station.

This year he has been teaching at Dallas, where he had a fine school. Being a sufferer from consumption, he became too weak to labor in the school room and last Thursday came here to spend awhile with his devoted friend, Mr. Wilkerson. He was a faithful teacher and a good true man. He leaves a wife and four children to mourn his loss.
