Death of Mrs. Mann.

A Good Lady Passes Away Last Thursday Night.

Mrs. F. M. Mann died at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. C. N. Patterson, on Friday night last.

While in apparent good health and up about the home, she was stricken suddenly with paralysis about 10:30 o’clock on Thursday morning, and soon received a second stroke and became unconscious and never rallied till death came to her at about 10:30 p. m.

Mrs. Mann was a lady of fine traits of character and was a true Christian, a dutiful, consistent member of the Baptist church. She was a kind, considerate, and affectionate mother and her children, in whose strong love she constantly lived, mourn her loss with a rare grief. She was the mother of Mrs. George Smith, of Tifton, Ga., Mrs. C. N. Patterson, and Messrs. R. F. and F. M. Mann. All of her children attended her funeral except Mrs. Smith, who was prostrated at the news of her mother’s death and, being feeble was unable to make the journey.

Mrs. Mann was formerly of Wetumka, Ala., where her husband preceded her in death some eighteen years ago. She has been residing with her daughter, Mrs. Patterson, for the last eight years.

The funeral occurred last Friday evening from the home, and was largely attended. The funeral services were conducted by Dr. W. H. Patterson, assisted by Rev. B. P. Allen, and were very impressive. Dr. Patterson paid a beautiful tribute to the character and Christian virtues of the deceased.
