Patrick Layton, another aged resident of this place, died on Saturday last. The remains were carried to Calhoun.

Petition for Probate Will.
Georgia, Bartow County.

In the court of Ordinary of said county.

Miss Bridget Egan having filed her petition for the probate in solemn form of the nuncupative will of Patrick Leyden, deceased, devising and bequeathing all his property to her, and for the issuing of letters testamentary on said will to G. B. Elrod, notice is hereby given to all concerned, including the heirs at law of said Patrick Leyden, Mrs. Maggie Delaney, of Tennessee; Michael Egan, of Adairsville; Mary Eagan, Tim Eagan, Jr.; Patrick Egan, and Tim Eagan, Sr., of Fulton county, Georgia; Martha Riley, Mary Riley, Annie Henderson, Fannie Waddell, and Bridge Leyden, of Texas, that on the first Monday in November, 1896, in the ordinary’s court of Bartow county, Georgia, said nuncupative will be admitted to probate in solemn form and letters testamentary issued thereon to G. B. Elrod as prayed in said petition unless to the contrary is then and there shown. Let those of said heirs resident in Georgia and Michael Egan who is appointed guardian ad litem for the said Patrick Egan and Tim Egan, Jr., be served personally with a copy of said petition and order at least ten days before the time set for the hearing; and let said non-resident heirs be served by publishing this citation in the Cartersville Courant American in four consecutive weekly issues prior to the first Monday in November, 1896.
