A Mother Heroine.

Barnesville, Ga., Feb. 22.—News has just been received here of a tragic burning at Pine Mountain, some distance in the country, in which a mother lost her life trying to save that of her child. Mrs. Bruce Lee, who resides on the very summit of the mountain, discovered that her house was ablaze, and, calling loudly for assistance, soon had the hired men present and working to extinguish the flames. Suddenly she recollected that her helpless infant was in the blazing building, and heedless of warnings, rushed in the crackling flames and brought her baby to safety, although she herself was burned so fearfully that she died in pitiful agony in two hours.
