Robert W. Knox, of Route 5, Cartersville, died suddenly Monday afternoon.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Rhyne officiating. Interment was in the Knox cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter, Miss Caren Knox, Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Frances Posten, Cartersville; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Knox, 57, was a son of the late Hubert and Leila Perkins Knox. He was a native of Cherokee County and was a veteran of World War II. He had worked in ship construction but had retired in recent years.
