John Monroe Knight of White, died Wednesday at his home.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday from the chapel of Owen Funeral Home, with the interment in Oak Hill Cemetery.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lora Howard, Savannah; Mrs. Sue Howell and Miss Corrine Knight, both of White; two sons, Grady Knight and Herman Knight, both of Cartersville; 22 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister; several nieces and nephews.

He was a native of Bartow, born August 16, 1888, a son of the late James T. and Mary Young Knight.  He was a retired mining contractor.
