On the 24th inst., at his home near Adairsville, Mr. Noah King, aged seventy eight years, an old and highly esteemed resident of this county, breathed his last and passed from earth to eternity, at 3 o’clock, a. m.  His death was preceded by only a few days of illness during which time he received the best medical attention from two brothers and a son, who are physicians, and the constant attendance of his children.  His friends and neighbors will remember the many generous deeds done by him, and prompted by a noble heart.  The funeral obsequies were conducted by Rev. W. H. Goldwire at Oothcaloga cemetery, where the body was placed in its last resting place, “with mute lips and folded fingers.”  To the family who mourn his loss, we extend our sympathy.
