At Rest In Oak Hill.
Bodies of Rev. Sam Jones and Son, Robert, Brought Here For Interment.

The bodies of Rev. Sam P. Jones and his son, Robert Jones, were brought from Atlanta to this city last week and finally interred at Oak Hill cemetery.  It will be remembered that Mr. Jones was carried in a few days after his death to Atlanta, where his body laid in state at the capitol and was taken and placed in a receiving vault at West View cemetery.  It was the intention of Mrs. Jones and the family to have Mr. Jones brought back to Cartersville and buried in the soil of his native county, a wish he was known to have expressed, just as soon as a suitable vault could be prepared.  Meantime the son died and his body was carried to Atlanta and placed in the vault beside his father.

The two bodies were brought up on the passenger and the coach they were in was side tracked opposite the cemetery.  The bodies were taken from the car and interred in the family lot.  The transfer of the bodies was quietly done, only a few of the friends and members of the family being present at the interment and superintending the final burial.
