Judge J.A. Jones

Judge J. A. Jones, father of Mr. A. R. Jones, of this place, and Mr. Seaborn Jones, of Rockmart, died at Rockmart on last Friday. He was about 90 years of age. Judge Jones has long been a citizen of our county, and once before the war held the position of Judge of the Superior court of the circuit in which Polk was then situated. Like other men, Judge J. had his faults, but as a friend he was always true, and during his life carried with him the intensest (sic) good will of many.—Cedartown Advertiser.
