The South Mourns the Loss of a Noble Son—The Old Vets Everywhere Mourn His Loss.

Washington, March 24. – The funeral services over the remains of the late Gen. Joseph E. Johnston, almost the last of the great commanders of the confederacy, took place in this city this morning…..The general’s remains were then removed to the Baltimore and Potomac station, followed by many carriages, and left here on the 12:10 train for Baltimore, where the body will be interred in Green Mount cemetery in that city.
