Mr. Hyde

William Thomas (Bill) Hyde, 73, of Rt. 4 Cartersville, passed away February 17, 1978, following an extended illness.

Mr. Hyde was a native of Bartow County, was a member of the Church of Christ and was a retired employee of Lockheed Georgia Company.  A son of the late Jack and Adaline Hyde, he was preceded in death by his wife the former Eldee Knox.

Survivors include one daughter Mrs. Delmer Hight of Rt. 4, Cartersville; three sisters, Mrs. Sally Cope of Chattanooga, Mrs. Mammie Fincher of Marietta, and Mrs. Ada Carr of Smyrna; one brother Jack Hyde Rt. 4 Cartersville; and two granchildren, Tanna and Greg Hight.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday from the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with the Rev. Ottis Pendley, Rev. L. W. Raines and Rev. Wayne Carr officiating.  Interment was in the Mizpah cemetery near Rome.  Serving as pall- bearers were Charles Hight, Scott Strickland, Billy Carr, Roy King, Herbert Gayton, and Ed Windsor.

Owen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
