Death of Mrs. Hoyle

The death of Mrs. Lucy Hoyle occurred at her home at Stilesboro on last Thursday, the 4 th instant. Mrs. Hoyle had been in bad health for some time and her death was not unexpected by her relatives and friends. She was 66 years of age and leaves four children, Messrs. Charles, Frank, and Robert Patterson, and Mrs. Colbert.

Her first husband, Mr. John M. Patterson, died in 1866, and she was married to Mr. Hoyle several years afterwards.

Mrs. Patterson had been for long years a member of the Methodist church and was a faithful, active worker in the cause of the church and of religion.

Her remains were interred at the Thurman burying ground, at Stilesboro, on Friday, rev. J. T. Richardson conducting the funeral services.
