Mrs. J. M. Davidson was called to Salisbury, N. C., on October 25th to see her only sister, Mrs. Wm. Howard, who is critically ill and the family are in great sorrow. Capt. Howard, her husband, was paralyzed a few days since and died last Saturday, but the sick wife could not be notified that her husband was dead.
