A Mule’s Fatal Kick. Little Felix, aged twelve years, the son of Mr. Charles Howard, whose home is a few miles from the city, was kicked by a mule on Thursday and died on Friday. The little fellow had been watering his father’s mules and one of them he had by the bridle with one side the rein unclenched, giving the animal a playful distance, another one of the mules coming up caused the one he was holding to kick at it, and the blow struck the lad in the stomach. His little brother saw the accident. He suffered a great deal from the kick and died as above stated. The accident was a very sad one and the parents have the sympathy of all in their great loss. |
