Horrible Railroad Accident.

Jeff Hide, a young white man employed as a brakeman on the Western & Atlantic Railroad, was the victim of an accident on last Friday night which resulted in his death.  He was on the southbound freight train about four miles north of Cartersville, when for some purpose he attempted to crawl upon the cab.  He received a lick from a coal chute, which was nearer the train than he expected, that caused his death within four hours.  The verdict of the coroner’s jury was in accordance with the above statement.
