Collins Henson, a young man about eighteen years of age was killed by a falling tree, while hunting near his home at Emerson, last Wednesday.  He and a negro had gone out to hunt coons and treeing one, Henson stationed himself at one side while the negro cut the tree down containing the coon.  The tree happened to fall in the direction of the young man and for some reason he failed to get out of the way and it caught his body and mangled him badly, killing him instantly.

The young man was very much beliked by those who knew him and the terrible accident was deeply deplored by his friends.
