W. I. Henderson Rites In Cedartown

William I Henderson, 76, died Saturday at his residence, 210 Frasier Street, following an extended illness. Funeral services were held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the chapel of the First Baptist Church, Cedartown.

Dr. Hugh Smith officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, in Cedartown, by his wife the former Lady Grace Rodd, with Has Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Hugh Gammon, Millard Lowery, Richard Gammon, Wayne Gammon, Wilmer Wheeler, Ray Martin, Glenn Black, and J. R. Hood. They are asked to meet at Hay Funeral Home at 1:15 Sunday.

Henderson was a native of Bartow County having spent most of his life around Kingston. He came to Marietta nine years ago from Kingston. He farmed most of his life, and was a druggist for nine years with Young Brothers Drug-store at Cartersville. He also ginned and operated the Kingston Supply Company.

He was a member of the Kingston Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughter, Mrs. Henderson Rollins, Miss Helen Henderson, both of Marietta, Miss Dorothy Henderson, Honolulu, Hawaii; two sisters, Mrs. Richard Gammon, Sr., Atlanta; Mrs. Bessie Dunwoody, Rome; inlaws, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Phillips, Birmingham, Ala., and Kingston, Ga,; and a number of nieces and nephews.
