Sanders Hawks, the trustworthy and industrious drayman, a hard-working, upright, honest colored man, and one of the most useful citizens of Cartersville, was buried on yesterday.  He was taken with a violent hemorage (sic) from the lungs on Friday evening and so severe was the attack that death ensued before medical assistance could reach him.  He is a real loss to the community; was a prosperous man, and had the confidence and respect of all.  His remains were followed to the grave by a large concourse, among whom, were many whites.  We shall miss Sanders, and will find it no easy matter to fill his place.
