“Kingston.”

Mrs. S. J. Harris, widow of the late J. S. Harris, died in Kingston at 8 a. m., November 20th. Mrs. Harris had been a great sufferer for near two years but never complained, bore all her sufferings with Christian patience. She was 71 years of age. She was interred at the family cemetery at Conaseena church, three miles north of Kingston, her pastor Rev. R. P. Martyn officiating. Many of our citizens attended the funeral. Her sons, George and Alexander and daughter, Miss Maggie were with her when she passed over the river of death. Judge Geo. A. Harris and Walter Harris, Esq., and Mr. Charles Harris, of Rome; and Mr. White, her son-in-law, of Rome, attended the funeral. Mrs. Harris was a pure, good woman, universally loved by all who knew her. Mr. Geo. L. Harris, who lives at the old homestead wishes to return thanks to the friends and neighbors, who were so kind and attentive to them in their sad affliction.
