Funeral Services Held Wednesday For Mrs. Guyton

Funeral services for Mrs. G.G. Guyton, of Atco, were held Wednesday afternoon at four o’clock from the Atco Baptist Church with interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Owen Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements and Rev. Harold Elrod of the Friendship Baptist Church, and the Rev. W.J. Millsap, of the Atco Baptist Church, were the officiating ministers.

Mrs. Guyton passed away in a loployee (sic) [probably should read “was an employee”] of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., and she had many friends throughout the village and Bartow County, who were saddened to learn of her passing.

She was born in Floyd County, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Long. Her husband passed away in 1944.

Mrs. Guyton passed away in a local hospital following an illness of two months.

Survivors include two sons, Hugh, of Melbourne, Fla., Herbert, of Warner Robbins, Ga.; three daughters, Mrs. M.R. Tallant, of Melbourne, Fla., Mrs. Donald E. Leveen, of Cartersville, and Mrs. J.B. Kile of Marietta; 12 grandchildren, her stepmother, Mrs. Rilda Long, Cartersville; a brother, Joe, of Actworth, and a sister, Mrs. Harold Howren, Oak Land, Fla.
