James Christopher Goss, 24, of 11 Azalea St., Rome, died Monday, December 23, 1996, as a result of an accident.

Goss was born on April 12, 1972, the son of Janice Kennedy Goss and the late James Walton Goss.  He was a 1990 graduate of Armuchee High School and was employed at Goodyear in Cartersville.  Goss was married to the former Alisa Marie Newsome on September 14, 1996.  He was precededin death by his father, James Walton Goss, and his grandfathers, Michael Kennedy and Benjamin Andrew Goss.

Survivors include his wife, Alisa Marie Goss; mother and step-father Janice and Dan Moore of Rome; sisters Dana Hill of Cartersville and Georgi-Anna Goss of Rome, brother Andy Goss of Rome; maternal grandmother, Caron Kennedy of Cartersville; paternal grandmother, Anna Mae Howell of Cleveland, Tennessee, two step-brothers, Stephen Moore of Adairsville and Michael Moore of Rhode Island; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Goss will be Thursday, December 26, 1996, at 11 a.m. at the Rome Baptist Temple with the Rev. Stephen Moore and Rev. Billy Goolsby officiating.  Interment will follow in the Center Baptist Church Cemetery in Cartersville.

Pallbearers include Jeff Headrick, Michael Freeman, Dewayne Bollinger, Patrick McWhorter, Dale Black and Britt Miller.
