Kingston. A sad and sudden death occurred here at 6 a. m. 23d ultimo. Little Robert, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Goodwin, was taken with acute pain in his head at the supper table on the 22d and at 6:30 a. m., 23d gave a gasp and was dead. The attendant doctors thought he was better in the morning, but in a short time the grim monster death claimed him. He was the idol of his father; was six years old a stout, hearty looking boy. The trouble was congestion of the brain. Rev. J. S. Goodwin of Atlanta, brother of Mr. C. M. Goodwin and Mrs. Emma Chandler of Dublin, Ga., sister of Mrs. Goodwin and Mrs. Shaw of Rome, sister of Mrs. Goodwin, attended the funeral. Rev. C. A. Jamison officiated. The sweet little boy was consigned to the tomb at 11 a. m. February 24. The bereaved parents have the heartfelt sympathies of this entire community. |
