Death of Mrs. M. H. Gilreath.

Mrs. M. Gilreath, the wife of Mr. Miller H. Gilreath, died on Friday last after an illness of long duration. She bore her sickness with marvelous fortitude and Christian resignation.

Mrs. Gilreath was an exemplary Christian lady, beliked by all who knew her, and her death has caused deepest regret among a large circle of friends. She was a member of the Baptist church, and when in health was often foremost in many good works in the community.

Mrs. Gilreath was 39 years of age. She was formerly Miss Rebecca Conyers, the youngest child of Mr. Bennett H. Conyers, of this county, who died in 1886, and was a sister of Col. James B. and Mr. Joel T. Conyers, and of Mrs. M. L. Pritchett, who died in 1884. She leaves, besides her husband, five children, who will sadly miss a mother’s presence and loving care. The children are: Francis Conyers, Ella Mae, Miller Hand, Jr., Rebecca Martha, Joel Benjamin.

Her remains were interred in Oak Hill cemetery on Saturday, Rev. W. H. Cooper of Cedartown, assisted by Rev. W. R. Briscoe, conducting the service.
