Kingston.

I am sorry to have to report that the remains of Mrs. Dr. L. M. Gilliam were brought here from Tampa, Fla., for interment Saturday morning accompanied by four of her children, Mrs. Whitfield of Brunswick, Ga.; Mrs. Perry, of St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Blossum, of Cleveland, Ohio and Mr. Wylie Gilliam, of Atlanta, Ga.  At 2:30 p. m. the sad procession proceeded to the cemetery.  As the evening was very disagreeable but few of our people were present.  Rev. W. H. Cooper conducted the burial services.  She was buried by the side of her husband, Dr. L. M. Gilliam, who preceded her a few years since and her son James, who died in Kingston a few months ago.  Dr. Gilliam and his interesting family were formerly citizens of Kingston and were highly esteemed by our entire community and we tender our heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved children.
