Death of a Good Citizen.

Mr. WM. H. Gilbert, long a resident of Cartersville, and who has been in feeble health for several months, died at 7 o’clock, Thursday morning last.  He was between fifty and fifty-five years of age.  He died from softening of the brain.  He was a generous, whole-souled man, and his death has thrown a gloom over this whole community.

We regret that we are not prepared to pay a proper tribute to his memory just now, but hope to have the aid of an abler pen in so doing next week.  The warm hearted is now cold in death, but the turf grow greenly over his grave.  Peace to his ashes.
