Death of Mr. Effert Gaines.

Mr. Effert Gaines died at his home on Tuesday, Jan. 18th, after an illness of several weeks.  He had not been well for some time, at last consumption took hold of him and his weak constitution soon succumbed. He leaves a wife and three boys to mourn his loss.  By his death Best Chapel has lost a noble man and true Christian, one whose every day life told plainly to all with whom he came in contact, that he was living so as to be ready whenever the summons came.  He was good in church and Sunday school.  The children will miss him for he was always at his post unless Providentially hindered.  His family and relatives have the sympathy of the whole community.
