Cass Station.

Last Friday at 11:50 o’clock Miss Amanda Jane Gaines breathed her last. She had been a patient sufferer for several months, and she was laid to rest in the Cassville cemetery on last Saturday. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. B. B. Quillian. She died a hopeful death, and leaves many friends and relatives to mourn her loss. The night before she died she asked her friends to sing “God be with you ‘til we meet again.” She also selected the hymn to be sung at the funeral. It was a warning to the young that time is short, and to be ready when death shall come.
