Ms. Lee Franklin, age 77, passed away at her home in the Plainview Community, Thursday, at 8 p.m., following several months of illness. She was a member of the Baptist church. She is survived by her husband; one son, Taft of Adairsville; two daughters, Mrs. Fred Erwin of Adairsville and Mrs. Lola Haralson of Calhoun; four sisters, Mrs. Agnes Morrow of Oostanaula, Mrs. Bell Young of Rainesville, Ala., Mrs. Gussie Floyd of Sallisaw, Okla., and Mrs. John Belcher of Adairsville; two grandsons, Pat Erwin of Calhoun and Jerry Erwin of the Armed services. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. at Plainview Baptist Church with the Rev. Hollis Hammond and the Rev. M.A. Goss officiating. Music was furnished by Sherman Sutton. Pallbearers serving were Paul Hogan, Martin Thomas, Buck Baker, J.C. McDearis, Bill Dempsey and Tollie Blalock. Interment in Plainview churchyard cemetery with Thomas Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
