“Adairsville.” Our community was shocked last week by the death, after a brief illness, of Mrs. Annie D., wife of Mr. William Felker. Hers was one of those gentle spirits that wound itself around the tenderest heart strings of friends. A fond and devoted wife, an affectionate daughter, a sincere friend, and a consistent Christian. Her life star has set as sets the morning star, which goes not down behind the darkened west, nor hides “obscured among the tempest of the sky, but melts away into the light of heaven.” Her remains were followed to the cemetery at Calhoun, her girlhood home, by a large concourse of friends. To the truly stricken and mourning husband, we tender our sympathy. |
