Death Of A Good Man.

Mr. Clayton Erwin Passes Away at His Home, on Stamp Creek.

Mr. Clayton Erwin, one of the best citizens of the county, died at his home, on Stamp Creek, last Saturday evening. His malady was pneumonia, and his illness was of only a few days’ duration.

Mr. Erwin was nearly seventy years of age, and leaves a wife and four married children, two sons and two daughters. The sons reside in Texas, the daughters reside in this county and were with him when he died.

He was a splendid citizen, living a correct and upright life. He had for long years been an active, consistent member of the Baptist church. He always took an interest in public matters and was a member of the county commission for revision of the jury lists.

His loss will be keenly felt in the community in which he lived and was much respected.
