Mrs. Sallie Lou Elrod Passes Away Sunday

Mrs. Sallie Lou Elrod died at her home in Pine Log Sunday Following an illness of a month.  She was preceeded in death by her husband Walter Lee Elrod five years ago.

The deceased was the former Miss Sallie Lou Moss of Cherokee county and was in  her 68 year.

Funeral services were conducted at Oak Hill Baptist Church at Rydal at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan 21 by Rev. Raymond Banks and Rev. Weldon Scoggins.

The deceased is survived by nine sons: Bert, Bob, John, Clarence, Henry, Leon, J.R. and S.R. Elrod, all of Bartow Co.; four daughters: Mrs. Lee Willis, Mrs. Nelson Jenkins. Mrs. H. D. Mulkey and Mrs. John Cornwell, all of Bartow; six brothers: John Moss, J. E. Moss, Rockmart; Alfred Moss, Bill Moss, Rydal; Jack Moss, Barnsville; Tom Moss, Calhoun; three sisters: Mrs C.D. Crider, Mrs. C. L. Elrod, Fairmount; Mrs. Jeb Stewart, Rydal.

The sons served as Pallbearers and interment was in the church cemetery with Owen Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
