Miss Jessie Edwards

Miss Jessie Edwards, 50, of Adairsville, Rte. 3, died at 6:20 a.m. Saturday at her residence following a sudden attack.

Miss Edwards was born in Bartow County Nov. 11, 1921, daughter of the late Henry and Mamie Green Edwards and had spent her entire life there. She attended Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include three brothers, Chess, Leon and R.V. Edwards, all of Adairsville, three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Lance and Mrs. Marvin Lavasque, both of Adairsville, and Mrs. Clara Roebuck of Bellsville, Ill.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Revs. Ralph Kimsey and Johnny Clark officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Adairsville.

The family will receive friends at the Barton-Jennings Funeral Home of Adairsville from 7 until 9 p.m. today and on Monday the body will be carried to the church to lie in state from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
