KINGSTON- Clyde M. Dawson, 73, of Old Rome Road died Thursday morning at his residence.
A native of Bartow Co., Mr. Dawson was born Oct. 16, 1918, son of B. J. Dawson and Callie May Callaway Dawson. Before retirement he was employed by Shaw Industries. He was a member of Kingston Baptist Church and the adult Sunday School Class. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the Army.
Survivors include: a daughter, Mattie Dawson, Kingston; three brothers, Bill Dawson, Rome, Tom Dawson and Lawrence Dawson, both of Kingston; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingston Baptist Church with the Rev. H. B. Merritt officiating. Interment will be at Kingston City Cemetery.
