Mrs. Dawson

Mrs. Clellah H. Dawson, 82, 707 North Fourth Ave., Apt. 9, died Monday morning in a Rome hospital following a brief illness.

Born May 29, 1897, in Cleburne Coun ty, Texas, she had lived in Rome for the past 24 years.  She was a member of the North Rome Church of God and was the widow of Joe T. Dawson who died Aug. 10, 1944.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James Rackley, Rome; a son, John L. Dawson, Albany; a sister, Mrs. F. W. Fishburn, Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson, andseveral nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Heritage Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Revs. Paul T. Stover and J. Earl Rackley officiating.  Interment will be in Macedonia Cemetery.  Pallbearers include Henry Alexander, Buddy Ely, Allen Crow, Paul Sexton, Ernest Smith and Waymon Caldwell.
