Mr. I. C. Davis

Mr. I. C. Davis died at his home near Taylorsville last Sunday at the age of sixty-seven years. He lived just over the line in Polk county and was a well known and prominent citizen of that county.

Sale of Davis Estates.

Cedartown Standard. The executors of the estate of I. C. Davis, deceased, --Messrs. B. J.; ? K. and J. L. Davis, --of Taylorsville, sold the properties of that estate last Tuesday at public outcry. The properties and effects sold for $5,793, that portion of the old homestead being purchased by the two younger sons, Messrs. C. E. and R. H. Davis. Mrs. I. C. Davis, the widow, was willed by her deceased husband a good portion of the homestead, valued at about $3,500.

Mr. John P. Davis, of Stilesboro, administrator of the estate of his father, Wm. B. S. Davis, deceased, also sold the property of that estate Tuesday. The home place brought $5,008, and the aggregate of all properties footed up $5,340.10.
