Mrs. Clarence Davis Dies In Hospital

Mrs. Clarence Davis, 42, of Aragon, passed away in a Rockmart hospital Thursday at 9:27 p.m. following a brief illness.

Mrs. Davis was born in Aragon, March 20, 1914 daughter of the late Richard and Georgia L. Brown Simpkins and had spent the greater part of her life there.

Mrs. Davis was a member of the Aragon Baptist church and had been employed at the Aragon Mill for the past 17 years.

The former Miss Helen Lola Simpkins, she was married to James Clarence Davis, March 30, 1934, who survives.

Surviving in addition to the husband, are one daughter, Mrs. Jones Layton, of Cartersville; two son Richard Arliss Davis, U. S. Army stationed in Africa, and Regenald Davis, of Aragon; and one brother, Earl Simpkins, of Rockmart.
