Services Held Monday For Mrs. Geo. Crowe

Mrs. George V. Crowe, a beloved senior citizen of Cartersville, and the widow of the late Rev. George V. Crowe, well-known and respected Baptist minister, having served the Tabernacle Baptist Church for many years, passed away in an Atlanta hospital on Saturday.

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at two-thirty o’clock from the Tabernacle with the Rev. Cane Cassidy officiating. Owen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery with a number of grandsons and Robert Mines serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Crowe was 82 years old and was loved by friends in the community and neighborhood. She had served faithfully along side her late husband. Her parents were the late Violet Hyde and John Cassidy.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Vara Gaddis, Mrs. Sarah Goddard and Mrs. Evelyn Jones; two sons, J. M., Cartersvile, and Charlie V. Crowe Atlanta; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
