“Corbin.”

Miss Ida Corbin, after a serious spell of typhoid fever, peacefully passed beyond the “Pearly Gate” on Friday last. She was 16 years of age, and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church for the past three years. For several days previous to her death her talk was of Heaven, and said they were the happiest days of her life.

Dearest sister, thou has left us:
Here thy loss we deeply feel;
But ‘tis God that hath bereft us:
He can all our sorrows heal.

Yet again we hope to meet thee,
When the day of life has fled’
Then in heaven with joy to greet thee;
Where no farewell tear is shed.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. J. Mann. Her remains were laid to rest in the family cemetery on Saturday.
