Death of Mrs. Mark A. Cooper.

We regret to have to chronicle the death of Mrs. Sophronia A. R. Cooper, the wife of our venerable and distinguished fellow-citizen, Hon. Mark A. Cooper, which sad event occurred at her home, Glen Holly, on Sunday morning last, the 6th inst. The deceased was born in Hancock county, June 28th, 1801, married 6th of January, 1825, and was the mother of ten children.

This venerable and much respected lady had been an invalid for many years and, therefore, has been little in society during the time. Thus one by one pass away the lives of the good old people who illustrated our grand old state half a century ago or more. To the bereaved husband who is left standing near the verge of eternity, in all the grandeur of a well-spent life, and their children who still survive, we extend our sympathy.
