Death has thrown his sable mantle about our usually healthful town the past week and claimed two victims for his own.  First M. Wm. Cook, one of our most steady, industrious citizens, died at his residence the 22nd inst., of typhoid fever.  His remains were interred the following day at the “Cedar Creek” family burying ground.
