Pine Log. On last Saturday, 23rd inst., Mr. Jno. Collins breathed his last and passed over the river to enjoy eternal bliss on the other side. The funeral service was held by the Rev. Mr. Mann who preached a very able sermon. Mr. Collins was a good citizen and true and devoted Christian. His dying words to his family were, “Don’t weep after me, I am going over to make the seventh one of my family on the other side.” He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his loss. The bereaved have our heartfelt sympathies in their great loss. |
